Annotations of The Book of Changes by Wang Bi made at least two contributions to the development of metaphysics: it elaborated the connection between Wang Bi's ontology and human affections and nature , and offered the inane metaphysical principle of cutting out branches so as to make branches prosper as a footing in human affections and nature; it revealed the potential of the above-mentioned principle and the vigor of Wang Bi's metaphysics.
