γ ray detection efficiency of BC-501A liquid scintillator

摘要 用MARTHA蒙-卡程序对BC-501A液体闪烁探测器的点γ源的响应函数进行了计算,计算和测量的结果符合得较好。容器壁对效率的影响随着γ能量的增加而变大,对于5MeVγ能量,有、无容器时的探测效率比为1.35。对效率随探测距离的变化进行了计算比较。由测量24Na的反冲电子谱解得γ能谱,检验了响应函数的正确性。 The γ-ray detection efficiency of BC-501A detector was calculated using MARTHA M-C Code. The calculated results are coincident with the measured. The affection of aluminum container on detection efficiency increases with γ energy. For γ energy of 5MeV, the ratio of detection efficiencies with and without the container are 1.35. The variance of the efficiencies with detection distances was studied. The accuracy of the calculated response functions was tested through handling the measured recoil electron spectrum from ^(24)Na γ source.
