摘要
本文叙述对NEC生产的α-tross He^-源的一个重要零件——“Insert”的形状尺寸作出改进,使该源经常出现的一类故障发生的几率大为减少,从而使该源的寿命大大提高。目前经350 h的运行,情况仍然良好(原来寿命平均仅数十h)。
An improvement both on shape and on size of the insert, a part of the alpha-tross He~ ion source made by NEC in USA, reduces greatly the possibility of a kind of trouble, which took place very often in this source, that is the migration of Rb toward canal and BN insulator. As a result, the lifetime becomes much longer than before. Recently it has been running for 350h without any problems.
