摘要
中山陵的建筑精神主要表现为“开放的纪念性”,即领袖气魄、平民气质、中国气派、现代气息的统一。孙中山主动选择葬身南京,意在留下一个强烈的象征符号,提醒后继者继承自己改造国家的理想。在国民党人的主导和建筑界人士的参与下,中山陵体现了古朴淡雅、宏壮开阔的特色。它不仅成为“孙中山”这一新的时代符号的物化载体和新生国家权威的象征;而且被营造成一个公共的仪式空间,近乎仪式化的谒陵行为在这里持续上演,国民的一致记忆和认同由此凝聚起来。
The architectural spirit of Sun Yatsen's Mausoleum lies in its open monumentality, i.
e. the harmony between grandiosity and modesty as well as tradition and modernity. Sun Yatsen
chose his bury-ground in Nanjing with the intention to leave behind a strong political symbol and to
remind his comrades to go on with his ideal of reconstructing the country. Under the leadership of
Kuomintang and with efforts of architects, the Mausoleum was endued with a grand, open, simple
and elegant character. It became not only an embodiment of Sun Yatsen -symbol of a new age
-and the sovereignty of a new nation, but also a public sphere of ritual ceremonies. With the
constant solemn homage rituals, a national memory and sense of identity were established.
