新时期的图书馆员继续教育是现代化图书馆发展的需要。图书馆员继续教育要有全新的内容,要遵循一定的原则,要采取一些行之有效的教育方法和教育方式,使每个图书馆员的服务能力都能够得到不同程度的提高,以推动图书馆事业的不断向前发展。
The development of modern libraries requires librarians to upgrade their education according to the demands of the new period. In order to improve their competency in various ways, and to promote further development of library working standards, librarians' curricula must be completely renewed, adhere to a set of principles, effectively avoid past practices, and apply a system of educational ways and means.
