Telomerase activity and regulation in meningiomas

摘要 目的研究脑膜瘤的端粒酶活性及其RNA和催化亚基(hTERT)的表达,为临床诊断和治疗开拓新思路。方法改良TRAP法及RT-PCR检测40例脑膜瘤的端粒酶活性及其RNA和hTERT表达。结果脑膜瘤端粒酶阳性率为43%,hTERT阳性率53%,两者阳性率和活性水平都随肿瘤恶性度增加而升高。结论端粒酶活性及hTERT和脑膜瘤恶性度有关;hTERT和端粒酶活性调节密切相关。 Objective To investigate telomerase activity and expression of hTR and hTERT in meningiomas. Methods Telomerase activity was detected by modified TRAP method.The expression of hTR and hTERT was measured by RT-PCR method in 40 meningiomas specimen respectively. Results The positive rate of telomerase and hTERT mRNA were 43% and 53% respectively in meningiomas and the positive rate and level of expression were increased in ascending order with the degree of malignancy of tumors as well. Conclusions Telomerase activity and hTERT are significantly correlated to the degree of malignancy in meningiomas. hTERT is significantly correlated to the regulation of telomerase activity.
