摘要
本文从实践和教学的角度谈当前会议口译所要求的译员解读图表的能力,是一项融记忆、数字互译、解释性翻 译、缩译、视译等技巧于一体,又需要补充专门知识体系的特殊技能,是口译培训中的一项重要内容。
In this paper, the author describes and analyzes six types of charts, tables and diagrams that are frequently used in conference presentations. She points out that interpretation of such graphic presentations should be viewed as a component of the interpreter's professional competence, and as such, be included in interpreter-training programmes.
