摘要
针对多媒体应用的负载特点,运用随机运筹学的原理,建立了用于数字媒体资料存储的光盘库的性能解析模型。由于该解析模型包含驱动器服务队列和机械手服务队列两个相互嵌套的模型,所以采用迭代方法对该模型进行求解,给出了光盘库性能模型的解析公式,对基于多媒体负载的光盘库性能做了分析。通过光盘库的事件驱动的仿真模型,进行了光盘库性能的仿真实验。分析和实验结果表明,多媒体负载下影响光盘库响应时间的关键参数是请求到达率以及驱动器的数目和速度。仿真实验验证了该文给出的性能解析模型是正确的。
This paper presents an analytical performance model of optical disk library for digital media storage in multimedia applications. The model comprises two interactional queue models, robot queue model and drive queue model, so the paper derives its analytical solution and analytical formula using iteration methods, and then uses it to give the performance analysis of optical disk library under multimedia system workloads. In addition, the paper gives simulation experiments by an event-driven simulation model of optical disk library. Both analytical and experimental results show that the key factors affecting the mean response time of optical disk library are the request arrival rate, the number of drives and the data transfer rate of drives. The analytical model has also been validated through simulation experiments.
