摘要 Many features of explaining the words were shown in Chu Ci Tong Shi.It carried the principles and methods of traditional studies of exegesis. There are some important features, such as explaining the words by way of pronunciation, laying stress on the semantic analysis through phonetic notation, showing clearly the personal pronoun, explaining the dialect that were chosen carefully, correcting the mistakes in printing or writing were paid attention to, pointing out the different forms of a same character or letter, and so on. Many features of explaining the words were shown in Chu Ci Tong Shi.It carried the principles and methods of traditional studies of exegesis.
