摘要
权力是人们为追求自己的目标和利益而采取行动的能力 ,它也是控制支配他人 ,调动各种资源的能力。语言和权力的关系是复杂的 ,它一方面受社会群体之间的权力关系的影响 ,另一方面又反过来影响这种权力关系。语言帮助建构、维持或瓦解权力关系 ,而语篇则是行使权力和实现各种权力关系的一种空间。
In the most general sense, the term 'power' refers to the ability to act in pursuit of one's aims and interests. All individuals are situated within socially structured contexts and, by virtue of their location, have different degrees of access to available resources. This endows them with varying degrees of power. In modern society, language and power has become so interdependent that text or discourse has been more and more regarded as a space where power is exercised and power relations are realized.
