摘要
王照是清末汉语拼音运动中的一位领袖人物。他创制和推广的官话合声字母 ,不仅在当时影响甚大 ,而且在中国文字改进史上也占有重要地位 ;王照还主张语言统一 ,提倡白话文 。
Wang Zhao is a leading figure in the Chinese Phonetic movement in late Qing dynasty. His contribufions lie in the cration and popularizatim of the phonetic alphabet of the official language, which had a great impact at that time and plays an important role in Chinese language reform, the advocatimg language unity and the vernacular and educatim popularization.
