摘要
从韩礼德、汤普森、艾更丝等功能语法学家对祈使句的语气结构分析入手 ,着重探讨了三个问题 :祈使句的分类、祈使句的聚合体以及let’s祈使句和let祈使句的区别。在进行语气结构分析时 ,笔者认为应当区分let’s祈使句和let祈使句。在let’s祈使句中 ,let’s在句中充当情态状语 ,而在let祈使句中 ,let是谓语的一部分。
Through a review of the analyses of the mood structures of English imperatives by Halliday, Thompson and Eggins,this paper tries to work out three related questions: the categorization, the paradigms and the mood structures of English imperatives. In doing that, it argues that let's- imperatives and let- imperatives are different in terms of their structures and semantic functions. In let's- imperatives, let's should be best interpreted as modal adjunct, while in let -imperatives, let is part of the predicator of the sentence.
