摘要
分析英国作家奥斯卡·王尔德在生活和创作中的矛盾性,探讨其矛盾性产生的根源,内涵及其表现形式。传统的批评家认为王尔德的矛盾性和多重性有缺陷,是他进行自我塑造的手段。王尔德将唯美主义和浪荡子主义相结合,在其中塑造出充满矛盾,不确定的多重自我形象--唯美主义的浪荡子,以这种特立独行的姿态来挑战和颠覆维多利亚时代资产阶级大众陈腐的思维定式和表达方式。
The paradoxical features of Oscar Wilde are his artistic selffashioning instead of his defects and weak points. As one of the most representative proponents for the movement of aestheticism and one of the most outspoken dandies in fin de siècle England, Wilde integrated dandyism and aestheticism as a whole by making himself as an aesthetic dandy with a determined subversion of the late Victorian Bourgeois ideology.
