摘要
近年来,美国地方政府改变公众对高等教育误解的需求变得越来越迫切。这些误解包括教师工资过高引起学费上涨问题,州对大学和学院的支持问题,高等教育激增的内部竞争问题等。从分析美国民众关于高校教师薪酬待遇问题的几个认识误区入手,运用美国大学教授协会(AAUP)的高校教师薪酬调查数据,对美国高校教师经济状况进行分析研究,可以澄清民众误解,维护和实现所有高校教师的经济安全,建立民众对高等教育的信心。
More recently,local governments need urgently to reclaim the public common misperceptions about higher education in the United States,including faculty salaries escalated significantly for higher tuition,state support for public colleges and universities,and competition within higher education. Starting off with the analysis of common misperceptions of faculty salaries which the public argued,this paper discusses faculty 's economic status with the faculty compensation survey of American Association of University Professors( AAUP) in 2015,in order to bust the misunderstanding of the public,safeguard and achieve economic security for all faculty members,and to establish public confidence in higher education.
