摘要
《书林清话》《版本通义》两书对版本学的发展产生了重要影响。在版本学理论方面,两书就版本学的产生及其地位等问题作了探讨,为推动版本学的发展做出了重要贡献。在版刻源流及发展方面,两书有许多相似的认识,叶德辉和钱基博都对历代刻本的价值有深入的研究,并梳理了版刻发展的历程,提出了许多不同的看法。在版本观上,二人公然批判"版崇宋元"的传统观念和做法,提倡重视明清刻本,开一时风气之先。
The Overarching Booklist of Ch'ing Literature and General Principles of Bibliography have great influence on the development of bibliography. In the theory of bibliography,these two books have discussed the emergence and status of bibliography,which has made great contribution to the development of bibliography. The two works have many similar ideas about the origin and development of edition. The authors of both books have a profound exploration on the value of different versions,investigated the process of block-printing of Chinese and put forward many different opinions. In addition,both of them have openly criticized the traditional ideas and practices that pay undue worship on the block-printed edition in Song and Yuan dynasty,and they attach great importance to the carving copy of Ming and Qing dynasty.
