5月,花团锦簇的广州,迎来了一场被誉为港航界'奥林匹克'的盛会——IAPH2019世界港口大会。港口作为全球资源配置的枢纽,在城市经济和区域经济发展中发挥着龙头和引擎作用,而中国港口的发展规模已连续多年来稳居世界第一,今年第31届世界港口大会时隔多年后再次在中国举办,足见国际业界对中国港航业快速发展的高度关注与信心。
In May, the colorful Guangzhou city welcomed the IAPH 2019 World Ports Conference, known as the 'Olympics' of the port andshipping industry. Ports as the hub of global resource allocation, in the development of urban economy and regional economy plays a leading role and engine, and the development of China’s port scale has been the no.1 world for years in a row. This year the conference was held in China again after so many years, which serves to show the high attention and confidence of international industry for China’s rapid development of port and waterway industry. The World Ports Conference is an important platform for global industry leaders to exchange views and seek cooperation and development. It is initiated by the International Association of Ports and Harbours and is a biennial event that has been successfully held for 31 sessions. This year’s conference is organized by Guangzhou Port Authority, and sees participation of more than a thousand guests, experts and scholars from over 50 countries. COSCO SHIPPING Bulk and COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers, as vice-director member organizations of the conference leading group office, were engaged in the event preparations. Centering around the theme of 'Collaborate Now, Create Future', this conference has conducted indepth and pragmatic discussions of promoting the port infrastructure interconnectivity and facilitation, accelerating the construction of green and wisdom port, building a more open world port. In the meantime, it continued delivering the determination of opening to the world and the cooperation with it through Guangzhou, the window of the Chinese civilization, having drawn attention of the industry.
