摘要
威廉·琼斯的波斯语研究论著反映了波斯语与周边语言接触和融合的历史,提供了语言演变和语言接触研究的典型个案,揭示了一些值得注意的现象和某些重要规律,其中有的是以往未引起注意的,古代各国宫廷高层间的接触有时也会成为语言借用的重要途径。这对今天的语言接触及其后果研究也有一定的参考意义。
By investigating the history of Old Persian's contact with and fusion into other Languages,Sir William Jones' s works on the Persian language offer a typical case of language evolution and language contact,revealing some important linguistic phenomena and laws,some of which have not been paid enough attention to so far.For instance,communication between the royal courts also served as an important occasion for language borrowing.His findings are of valuable reference for modern study of language contact and its consequence.
