摘要
为提升我国城市交通安全水平,有必要借鉴发达国家与国际先进城市的交通安全治理经验。近年来,美国纽约市在道路交通安全改善方面取得显著成效,安全状况显著优于美国同类城市。纽约将安全列为交通发展的首要目标,提出"零死亡愿景",并强调安全文化。同时,注重慢行交通和道路安全设计,不断塑造可持续的安全街道。纽约的先进经验对于我国城市交通安全战略布局、政策制定以及管理优化有重要的参考意义,有助于支撑我国城市道路交通安全的全方位提升。
To improve the urban traffic safety in China, it is necessary to profit from the traffic safety management experience of developed countries and international advanced cities. In recent years, New York City(NYC) has made remarkable progress in improving traffic safety, leading the pack, with a significantly lower rate of fatalities from traffic crashes than American peer cities. Safety was established as a primary goal in NYC, and now it has adopted Vision Zero as an important strategy to foster a safety culture. NYC places great emphasis on non-motorized traffic and road safety design, and continuously devotes to making sustainable streets. The advanced experience of New York can provide a valuable reference for the urban transportation strategic development, policy-making and management optimization, which is conducive to support the allround improvements of urban traffic safety in China.
