摘要
大学英语是一门十分重要的公共基础课,教学内容多,任课教师多,施教时间长,管理难度大。如何在现有教学条件下搞好大学英语教学,培养学生的英语综合应用能力,特别是听说能力,提高其自主学习能力和综合文化素养,使其在今后的工作和社会交往中能用英语有效地进行口头和书面的信息交流,以适应我国社会发展和国际交流的需要,是大学英语教学改革中亟需解决的问题。
College English is a very important basic course for all the college students.With the demanding objectives of syllabus and a very long time of teaching period,it needs more teachers’ involvement in teaching and hence the management of the large size of faculty is a difficult task.There is an urgent problem arising during the reform of college English teaching for how to improve the English teaching and develop students’ practical English abilities,especially the English listening and speaking abilities as well as their self-study ability and comprehensive cultural qualities so that they are competent to use English for verbal and written exchange in future career and social communication to meet the need of social development and international exchange in China.
