摘要 《北美传播政治经济学研究》一书系青年学者陈世华教授沉潜十年研究所得。该书前身为作者的博士学位论文,曾被评为'湖北省优秀博士论文',并获得全国优秀博士论文提名奖。全书16章共40万字,以知识谱系的写法清晰梳理了传播政治经济学的渊源、内涵、分支以及发展,分析了由其衍生出的电影政治经济学、新闻政治经济学、信息政治经济学、互联网政治经济学、广告政治经济学等亚研究领域,追踪了其与种族研究、女性主义、民族志、文化研究等学科交叉融合而产生的各种跨学科取向和路径。其理论精髓是'我们不自由的传播',其元理论是'传播即控制',反映了话语权力关系和博弈,对中国传播业以及传播研究,尤其是传播政治经济学研究具有十分重要的启示。 The book Research on Political Economics of Communication in North America is a research result of ten-years study by Chen Shihua,a young Scholar.The predecessor of this book is his Doctoral dissertation,which has won the title of Excellent Doctoral Dissertation in Hubei Province and the Nomination Award of Excellent Doctoral Dissertation in China.It has sixteen chapters,totaling 400,000 words.This book combs the origin,connotation,branches and expansion of political economy of communication clearly.Meanwhile,it analyses sub-research fields,including political economy of film,political economy of news,political economy of information,political economy of Internet and political economy of advertising by means of knowledge genealogy,and also elaborates various interdisciplinary orientations and paths including racial research,feminism,ethnography and cultural studies.The essence of its theory is'our unfree communication',and its meta-theory is'communication is control',which reflects power relationships and games of discourse.It has very important enlightenment for China’s communication industry and communication research,especially political economy of communication research.
