This paper provides an analysis of the potential accidents apt to occur in small- and medium-sized devices, together with the safety procedures for operation control. Specific requirements for the safety interlock of operation procedure are presented to ensure radiation safety under normal, mal-functional and abnormal conditions, also with the required safety and protection management system suggested.
