The extremely loud sound can not be heard' was the aesthetic view about sound put forward by Laozi, a famous thinker and philosopher in the period of Spring and Autumn of China His word 'the sound that can not be heard' is the sound of 'dao, standing for principle' itself, as well as is the most beautiful and the purest sound. From this sound all the fine sound in the world is derived. Laozi took the sound of 'the unheard sound' as fine. He advocated nature, held 'discarding all desires and worrying from one's mind', took the sound of 'unheard sound' of the'dao follows nature' as the model, from which the music aesthetic view of'overtones' was derived; while the creative idea uncovered by the enjoying layer of 'overtones' is a multivariate and complex process. Therefore, understanding and paying attention to man's aesthetic direction and borrowing the experience of laozi's music aesthetic view based on 'The extremely loud sound can not be heard' of 'dao follovvs nature' have very important practical meaning for the present music aesthetic action.
