适配器驱动层并行I/O调度性能分析

摘要 对适配器驱动技术进行了研究 ,提出了一种可扩展的并行I/O方法 .这种方法将多DMA通道和I/O接口集成到适配器中 ,可实现I/O命令的多通道并行处理 ,从而以较低代价实现外围设备I/O性能扩展 .建立并行I/O的SPN模型 ,对这种结构下各I/O环节对设备栈I/O性能的影响进行了分析 ,重点研究I/O请求量与系统IRP流量和I/O通道利用率的关系 ,并结合测试数据对分析结论给予了证明 . Based on the study of host bus adapter driver, a scalable parallel I/O method was proposed. Several hardware components such as DMA channels and I/O interfaces were integrated in one PCI HBA. The HBA driver can set and utilize all the components to do the I/O work concurrently, and the scalable performance was available at little cost. Stochastic Petri net model was constructed to analyze the relationship between driver stack performance and I/O conditions. The effect of I/O request packet throughput and utilization rate of DMA channel made by change of block size of I/O request packet was emphasized. It was proved that the proposal was effective.
