摘要
隐喻和转喻在认知语言学里被认为是两种基本的认知机制。这两种认知机制的运作模式分三种情况:第一种情况,在一个短语或句子中隐喻或者转喻单独起作用;第二种情况,这两种工具在认知过程中共同起作用;第三种情况,在一个表达式中转喻起了两次作用。
Metaphor and metonymy are regarded as two basic cognitive mechanisms.They have three different modes of function.In the first mode,either metaphor or metonymy works independently in an expression,be it a phase or a sentence.In the second mode,both mechanisms co-work in the process of cognition.In the third one,metonymy functions twice in succession.
