摘要
从古至今,城市都是经济发展与政治力量的引擎,是创新与变革的中心。当今人口增长加速,城市体系所面临的压力越来越大,这使得人们在规划和运行城市中心时,不得不对线性经济模型进行重新思考。今天,城市中心面临着一个可持续性发展的难题。虽然城市中心是当前最高效的服务分配方式,但它们仍旧消耗着大量的水、能源、天然产品与加工制品,排放着全球80%的温室气体。
Historically cities have been the engines for economic growth,political power and hubs for innovation and change.Intensified population growth and increasing pressures on urban systems call now for a rethinking of the linear economic models in the planning/operations of metropolitan centers.
