文化作为价值和认同的源泉,是欧洲独特性的重要特征和主要优势之一。随着文化在欧洲国内生产总值(GDP)中的比重日益增长,以证据为基础的文化测量活动具有重要意义。因此,文化数据库的可靠性和可获得性对政策制定者和社会科学研究者显得尤其重要。在此背景下,本文汇编了国际机构在文化统计和测量方面的最新努力,为文化经理人的工作提供便利。具体而言,本文总结了欧洲国家和欧盟层面现有的文化统计资源,其中包括一组欧洲文化观测台的汇总表。
Culture as a source of value and identity is one of the most characteristic strengths of European idiosyncrasy.With the increasing contribution of culture to the European Economy in terms of Gross Domestic Products(GDP),the evidence-based measurement of cultural activities is of particular significant.For this reason,the availability of robust cultural data bases is crucial for policy-makers and social science researchers.Under this context,this paper compiles recent efforts of international institutions to measure culture statistics with the aim of facilitating cultural managers’work.Specifically,we summarize the cultural statistics resources available from a national level to a European level,including also a line-up of cultural observatories in Europe.
