摘要
齐白石是一位天生的艺术家,他的篆刻作品同其诗、书、画一样表现出一种极为纯净、极为自然、极为本色的美。齐白石的篆刻,拓展了印章的表现力,其强烈的个人风格是根植于对传统的深入学习和对艺术的真诚,师心而不师迹,成就了齐派篆刻。
QI Baishi was an inborn artist. His poems, calligraphy works, paintings as well as his works of seal cutting show fairly wonderful pureness, naturalness, and true qualities. Qi's calligraphy works expanded the expressive force of the seals. His own strong style was rooted in his deep - going learning of tra-dition and his devotion to arts. He followed the heart of the art without imitating its appearances. And then the seal cutting art of Qi School was formed.
( Note; Han, the Han Dynasty during which the seals of the painters and calligraphers were absolutely fa-mous. 'I know none about Han' means I dont want to follow the old routine but I'll have innovations. )
