摘要
量化和熵编码是MPEG-2编码中重要的数据压缩方式,本文在对MPEG-2编码过程分析的基础上,具体讨论了MPEG-2编码器中量化器和熵编码器的功能及其实现,对按功能划分的量化器、扫描电路、游程编码器、可变长编码器四大模块,分别作了详细的结构设计并进行了功能模拟和验证。
Quantization and Entropy Encoding are two important data compression tech-niques of MPEG-2video coding system.In this paper,the function and realization of quan-tizer and entropy encoder,which are parts of the MPEG-2Encoder,are discussed in detail based on analyzing the coding process of MPEG-2standard.The following is the architecture design of four models which are quantizer,Zscanner,Run-length-coder,Variable-length-coder,Finally the result of simulation and test of the design are given.
