张爱玲关注人性,且对人性有着独特的认识,因而她以天才的智慧,在作品中写出了平凡尘世中的俗人的恋爱婚姻与家庭生活,真实地刻画了芸芸众生的人生形态,在凡俗中展示真实的人生与真实的男女本性,重现出人性的弱点,揭示出自己对人性的深刻认识,并在对人性的自私的求生本能反省中隐含了对人性的深深理解和宽悯。张爱玲的作品以人性的弱点为着眼点,在现代小说史上占有一席之地。
As Zhang Ailing concerns human nature with a unique understanding of it she talentedly and vividly depicts the human formation of all kinds of people through love and marriage and family life of ordinary people in this plain world so as to reveal true human life and nature of men and women, human weakness, uncover her profound understanding about human nature and imply her further knowledge and deep compassion for it in the reflection of the selfish instinct for life in human nature. Zhang Ailing's works have taken a position in the history of modern novels with their focus on human weakness.
