摘要
托尼·莫里森的《宠儿》自1987年发表以来,小说中人物宠儿的身份引起了许多读者的兴趣,普遍对她身份的确定感到困惑。指出在后现代主义研究中,文本明确的终极意义不复存在。在这种大气候影响下,宠儿的身份自然地表现出多样性和开放性。
Since the publication of Toni Morrisons Beloved in 1987, the identity of character Beloved intrigues a lot of readers, who are confused about who Beloved really is. This article points out that in the era of postmodernism, the definitive and ultimate meaning of the text does not exist any longer. In this big cultural climate, Beloveds identity naturally appears to be open to multiinterpretations.
