摘要
认为语言既具有任意性,又具有非任意性。语言符号的任意性和非任意性并不矛盾,二者是两个层级的东西。任意性反映了符号内部能指和所指之间的关系(拟声词除外),而非任意性则体现了语言符号与语言符号之间的关系。
The debate between the two views,arbitrariness and non-arbitrariness,of linguistics signs is of long standing.This paper holds that Language is both arbitrary and non-arbitrary.The arbitrariness and non-arbitrariness of linguistic signs are not contradictory.They are in different levels.Arbitrariness reflects the relationship between the signifier and the signified of the sign itself,excluding the onomatopoetic wards,while non-arbitrariness embodies the relationship between the linguistic signs.
