摘要
对高掺铒浓度光纤的增益及光谱特性进行了实验研究。仅用增益长度 2 .75米的高掺铒光纤 ,对于 15 3 0nm~ 15 60nm波段 0dBm的输入信号 ,其放大后的输出功率可达 + 14dBm ,且其噪声指数低于 4.5dB。所用 980nm泵浦源的泵浦功率为 80mW。得出掺铒光纤的平坦增益谱宽为 3 0nm(± 1dB) ,其输出功率与输入信号功率呈线性关系。实验测得其 15 5 0nm光信号增益为 43dB。
The investigation on the spectrum and the gain characteristics of high erbium-doped fiber is reported.Pumped with 80 mW at 980nm,only 2.75 meters gain length of high erbium-doped fiber will amplify a 0 dBm input signal 1530-1560nm to produced an output of+14dBm with less than 4.5dB noise.The flattened a amplification bandwidth of 30nm(±1dB)and linear relation between output power and signal power are demonstrated experimentally.Signal gain of 43dB is achieved at 1550nm.
