几年前一个偶然的机会,我看到萧瀚先生的一本画册,一看就放不下手了。赶忙重新翻到画册的扉页上端详画家的照片,心想,这位未曾谋面的中年男子做了一件真正的大事。毫无疑问,是与传统相衔接的中国水墨画,但却把沉睡久远的色彩全部唤醒了。先前也曾有人来唤醒过一部分,如张大千、林风眠他们,但还很少听到像他唤得那么响亮,也可能是我孤陋寡闻。中国传统文化创造了一种在现实中的精神生存方式,机智地选取了收敛、淡雅、飘逸、素朴的基本风致,力图用最省俭、最含蓄的途径来表达不甘同流合污的自由襟怀,这便决定了中国艺术的诗化写意取向。这是一种永远值得真爱的文明形态。
Connecting with traditional skills.Xiao Han’s artworks have woken up all sleeping colors.It’s even louder than Cormer artists like Zhang Daqian and Lin Fengmian.The colors under his hands were rich hierarchies,full accuracy and obvious transparency with the obscure beauty around.His artworks turned out apparently a prospect of Western Impressionism which broke out the limit of time and space and were accepted and appreciated by modern aesthetics in the world.From his paintings we can fine a lonely, proud and honest conception that existed in Chinese ancient artists.
