The troubles in operation of 500 kVAR static var generator(SVG)caused by electromagnetic interference(EMI)at site are described.The various measurements are adopted for improving electromagnetic compatibility of the SVG.AT last the operation of the SVG becomes smoothly and satisfactorily.
