孙膑无疑是历史上充满神秘色彩的传奇人物,他以哲人的睿智头脑,为构建中国古代兵学理论系统做出了不朽贡献。他对战争重要性的深刻认识和冷峻思维,他关于"形莫不可以胜"、"圣人以万物之胜胜万物"的敢于战略上藐视一切敌人的无畏气概和善于斗争的求实精神,他的"间于天地之间莫贵于人"的卓越见识,他关于"势"、"奇正"、"分合"、"长短"、"阵法"等等的理论阐述,至今能给我们以深刻的启示。
Sun Bin, a mystery legend beyond any doubt in Chinese history, made eternal contribution to the construction of military theory in ancient China with his sophisticated wisdom. He still inspires us greatly until now with his insight of the importance of war, his down-to-earth spirit and bravery to despise all enemy embodied in winning with favorable geographical position and sage defeating others with their common nature. He also enlightens us on the utmost importance of human, and his discussion on circumstances, direct and indirect maneuvers, concentrating or dividing troops, advantages and disadvantages, as well as arrays tactics.
