几千年前,地球表面雨林覆盖率为12%,但现在仅为7%左右。热带雨林分为热带美洲、热带非洲和热带亚洲三大群系,中国的主要分布在海南、云南,不到300万公顷,不足世界雨林面积1.3‰。海南雨林演变与人口数量成负相关,在1980年以前总体呈下降趋势。海南黎族钻木取火技艺、传统服饰树皮布和黎锦、神秘的树崇拜和文身习俗等,是解读雨林民族生态文化的密码。
Several thousand years ago, the rainforest coverage was as high as 12%, but now it plummeted to about 7%. Rainforests are mainly distributed in tropical America, tropical Africa and tropical Asia. And China’s rainforests, which accounts for only 1.3‰ of the global coverage, are in Hainan and Yunnan, with no more than 3 million hectares. The diminishing rainforest in Hainan is caused by the population explosion. The drilling-the-wood-tomake-fire techniques of Hainan Li People, their traditional cloth made of tree bark, Li embodiment, mysterious tree-worshipping and tattoos all help us decipher the eco-culture of ethnic people living in the rainforest.
