针灸是一种治之于外、调之于内的独特治疗方法。针灸的治疗效应与药物、手术等治疗方法有所不同,同样一个病证,使用同一种针灸方法和操作技术,而产生的效应并不一致,这一现象在针灸临床普遍存在。其原因是多方面的,也是十分复杂的。这与针灸本身的临床特性和各种影响因素有关。探讨针灸疗效的临床特性与影响因素,目的在于掌握针灸的临床特性,排除其影响因素,从而提高针灸疗效,使针灸疗法更有效地为人类的保健作出新贡献。
