摘要
词汇知识在目标语的阅读理解中起着重要作用.本文研究的是中国学生在阅读过程中所表现出的词汇知识缺陷,以期为教学提供依据和方向.本文通过量化定性研究,找出学生在词汇知识层面上的四个主要缺陷:1)对一词多义意识薄弱;2)对于词性和词义的联系缺乏认识;3)对固定短语的出现缺乏判断;4)对词之间的意义关系缺乏认识.文章分析了学生词汇知识缺陷产生的原因,并对今后的阅读教学提出了建议.
Knowledge of vocabulary plays a crucial role in the target language reading comprehension. The present study is conducted with the aim to identify the problems the Chinese EFL students have in their lexical processing of English texts. Through qualitative and quantitative research, it is found out that students are handicapped by four major deficiencies in their knowledge of vocabulary. The causes are discussed and suggestions made for the teaching of English reading comprehension.
