摘要
钱冠连在对西方哲学研究中,从不同侧面对作为定义的语言工具论提出质疑与反思,使我们对语言及其本质有了更进一步的了解.这一反思可以借鉴到对目前外语教学的认识上来.本文试图以钱的研究为理论基础探讨外语教学,检讨工具论在外语教学上的滥用与误用.
In the research on Western language philosophy ,Prof.Qian queries the theory that language has been defined as a tool and makes us know more about language and its nature. The reflections on the view of language as a tool will not only shed light upon the true nature of language, but also have positive implications for language teaching. This paper argues that language teaching and learning may improve a lot if we don't take language just as a tool.
