The paper begins with briefly mentioning the development of communication network in general. Then, the paper emphasizes to describe the technology of Optical Packet Switching Network to be used in the near future. It also describes the related optical singal processing and optical wavelength changer technology. Finally, it briefly explains the optical time division multiplexing.
