摘要
海明威的两部以老人为题材的小说《老人与海》和《桥畔的老人》有许多共同的艺术特色 ,它们体现了“冰山”原理在语言文字、篇章结构、人物形象以及主题和情感方面的创作特征 ,尤其是其中所折射出特殊的老人情结 。
Based on the themes about two old men, the two novels written by Hemingway, have much in common in writing styles, which embody some features in the usage of language and the selection of words, construction of the textual structures, description of the characters, and their emotions as well. All these reflect a particular affection towards old men, which makes the two novels quite comparable.
