According to the case analysis, an optimizing method to choose the foundation plan on the soft soil for the large-span multi-story frame structure is discussed in the paper. The method takes into account many facters, such as economy, usage, construction, and so on, to guarantee the optimizing plan for the foundation can be obtained.
