摘要
本文以美国华裔作家张岚的长篇处女作《遗产》(2004)中多处"沉默"为切入点,分析阐述了"沉默"的含义,重点阐述了处于文化和时代差异中的沉默的意义,以及沉默在内容和创作上具有拓展性的内涵。文章借此进一步阐述该作品在华裔文学创作中的独特性和普遍性。
The essay analyzes Chinese American writer Lan Samantha Chang's virgin novel Inheritance(2004).The author focuses on the significance of'silence'in the work by exploring the differences between cultures and generations,and pointing out that'silence'could help deepen the extension and potential of literary creation.The author concludes with a discussion of this work in terms of its uniqueness as well as universality within the context of Chinese American literature as a whole.
