摘要
西方先于国内开始了毛泽东邓小平的比较研究。这些研究既比较二人品质和风格上的异同,又比较其领导中国建设的不同思路和作法。国外学者的有些观点我们不能接受,但比较研究所形成的一些认识和方法却值得认真借鉴,如建立科学的比较研究范式,培养学者的批判精神等。
Western scholars began their comparative studies of MAO Zedong and DENG Xiaoping earlier than their colleagues in China. In their studies they put MAO and DENG in comparison and contrast so that they not only find out the similarities and differences in their personalities and work styles, but point out as well their different ways of thinking and action. We cannot accept some of the viewpoints put forward by foreign scholars, but the insights they have gained and the methods they have used in their comparative studies are what we should learn from, such as the establishment of a scientific mode of comparative studies and the critical spirit of these scholars.
