Numerical simulation and parameters estimation of scattering clutter from 1-D time-varying sea surface

摘要 通过计算机模拟不同风速下随时间变化的动态海面 ,将传统的两种用于计算静态粗糙面的方法 (前后向迭代法和基尔霍夫近似 )结合起来 ,计算了动态海面电磁散射回波 ,从而获得了不同海况、不同极化状态和不同入射角 (包括掠入射 )条件下海杂波的统计描述 ,并通过计算几种典型杂波模型的“似然率” ,对所得数据进行了最佳拟合。 Based on the simulations of time-varying sea surfaces in different environment, in this paper, we calculated the electromagnetic scattering from dynamic sea surface by the method of forward-backward and Kirchhoff′s approximation, which were all typically formulated for time-independent surfaces. Then we obtained the statistical description of the amplitude and the power of ocean clutter for various sea states, polarizations and grazing angles. With the likelihood ratios of commonly using Rayleigh, Lognormal, Weibull and K-distribution families, the best fitting distributions to the observed data have been chosen. A good agreement has been observed by a comparison the simulation results with those available in the literature.
