本文拟就察哈尔西迁新疆的过程及意义做一探讨,通过新近发掘的满文档案及清代史料,结合社会考察资料,从西迁的决策、西迁的筹备、西迁的行程及西迁的意义等几个方面,较为详尽的阐述察哈尔西迁新疆的过程及意义,毫无疑问,这将为察哈尔蒙古及新疆民族史的研究提供有益的启发。
The process of the westward migration of the eight—banners troops of the Chahar tribe to Xinjiang and its signifinance were seldom discussed before.This article attempts to probe into this issue.Based on newly found Manchu archives and historical data of the Qing Dynasty,combining with social investigation,the author expounds the process of the westward migration of the Chahar tribe and its signifinance from different aspects,such as decision—making of the westward migration,the preparations,the route of the migration,etc.The article can be a helpful reference to the study of the Chahar Mongols and the ethnic history of Xinjiang.
