摘要
IVS(INRIA Videoconferencing System)是英特网上广泛使用的视频会议系统.本文通过模拟实验对IVS流与TCP流争抢带宽资源中的TCP友好性问题进行分析.通过实验数据分析,本文研究了IVS流TCP友好性差的原因,提出了未来改进方向.本文的实验工作为深入研究英特网上视频会议系统的QoS(Quality of Service)保证打下了基础.
IVS (INRIA Videoconferencing System) is a widely deployed videoconferencing system for the internet. Through three sets of deliberately designed experiments we are able to identify the cause to the bad performance of IVS' inferior TCP friendliness. We also suggest several possible improvements for IVS flow control algorithm. Work in this paper has provided a base ground for the in-depth study on how to provide QOS (Quality of Service) guarantees for videoconferencing system on the Internet.
