The paper gives a comprehensive description of the basic principle and method of time-delay estimation, including correlatiog method and generalized correlation double-spectrum method and generalized doubl- espectrum, phase-spectrum method and generalized phase-spectrum, as well as adaptive signal processing, The characteristics of the different methods are also analysed and compared.
