摘要
莱斯大学贝克研究所在短短的二十几年内高速崛起,成为世界大学智库中的佼佼者,为美国公共政策的制定提供了众多重要策略。对贝克研究所高速崛起的内在成因进行深度剖析,发现该研究所致力于特色鲜明的研究专长、占据国际化的研究领域、健全完善的人才机制、坚持多渠道的资金筹集和实行多方位的成果推广。贝克研究所高速崛起的历史现象对我国大学智库实现跨越式发展,在发展具有自身优势的特色研究、推进研究领域的国际化、创新人才储备机制、拓宽资金筹集渠道以及加大研究成果的宣传与推广力度等方面提供了宝贵的经验。
The Baker Institute of Rice University has risen rapidly in just over twenty years and has become one of the world’s leading university thinktanks,providing many important strategies for the formulation of American public policy.Through in-depth analysis of the internal causes of the rapid rise of the Baker Institute,it is found that the institute is committed to distinctive research expertise;occupying international research fields;perfecting the talent mechanism;insisting on multi-channel fund raising;and implementing the multi-directional of result popularization.The historical phenomenon of the rapid rise of the Baker Institute provides valuable experience for the leap-forward development of university thinktanks in China.It especially provides precious experience in developing characteristic research with its own advantages,promoting the internationalization of research fields,innovating talent reserve mechanisms,broadening the channels of fund-raising,and increasing the publicity and popularization of research results.
