摘要
中国语境下的经典化既强调文本内在价值也注重文本外在影响。中国三大少数民族史诗之一《玛纳斯》经典化的实现既有对文本内在价值的保护和传播,又有相关机构的外在推介。中国的少数民族政策与西方世界的种族政策不同,同时中国思想深受中庸之道影响,故中国语境下的经典化形成有其自身特点,其模式探索是本文的主要意旨。
Canonization in China relies on both interior textual value and social and cultural dimensions outside of text.In this paper,the author,taking Manas,one of the three ethnic epics in China,as an example,intends to exhibit how Manas is approaching its canonization with efforts made both on textual preservation and transmission and exterior promotion by relevant institutions.The success of China’s application for World’s Intangible Cultural Heritage evidences the power of exterior dimension in the epic’s canonization and the problems in its translation indicates the inefficient endeavor on textual value.With the illustration on the differences between China and the West in both objective reality concerning ethnicity and subjective thinking mode where'balance'is particularly admired,the author aims to explore a new mode of canonization in Chinese context,which is supposed to help Chinese literary works including works done both by Han people and ethnic minorities be an appreciated part of world literature.
